Work One-On-One With A Dietitian
Individual Nutrition Counseling Services
No matter what your nutrition and health goals are, I know finding a place to start isn't easy. My mission is to make sure that place is safe, non-judgmental, and starts where you are today.

WORKING 1:1 WITH EMMY
I know working with a dietitian can feel vulnerable.
That's why my philosophy behind how I provide care is different.
I know you’re the expert of your own body. I’m here to listen to you and support the goals you have based on our expertise… but you’ll always have the final sign-off on anything we do together.
I strongly believe weight is not a marker of health, and I provide fat-positive and inclusive care.
I am also firmly non-diet dietitians. This means I’ll set you up with non-restrictive nutrition recommendations instead of food rules, strict diets, and weight-loss plans.
Everything I do is rooted in Intuitive Eating, meaning I always want to support a healthy and happy relationship with food (no matter what we’re working on together).
I prioritize research-backed solutions in your care - not just recycling some questionable BS from social media.
I’m here to be your support system and trusted nutrition expert you can come to with any question or concern, not your judgy friend that says, “Are you really going to eat that?”
The process
Our First Session
Our first meeting will be a 75-minute Initial Assessment either virtually or in-person - your choice. Here’s an overview of what this session will look like:
-
We’ll start by chatting about your health history, any immediate health concerns or symptoms, what you like to eat, how you move your body, and your stress & sleep patterns to help me get to know you better.
-
Including suggestions for recipes, products, meal planning, meal preparation, and grocery shopping based on your budget and needs.
-
For chronic disease management and medically-prescribed diets.
-
My goal is to help you learn to notice trends in your hunger and fullness levels, how they change throughout the day, and how this can affect food choices and how we feel about ourselves.
-
Strategize with goal setting and support planning for behavioral modification, nutrient intake, and physical activity.
-
For nutrition supplements as needed or requested.
-
Analysis of any recent bloodwork you’ve had done, as well as recommended labs when applicable (which I can send to your doctor to order).
I can also order any nutrition-related labs that may be helpful to understand your symptoms better, which can be done at your convenience either at home or at a local clinic (cost is out-of-pocket).
-
A summary of our initial session goals with personalized resources and recommendations. Think meal & snack ideas, product recommendations, reference materials, and more.
-
Unlimited virtual chat support on my HIPAA-compliant platform called Healthie for up to 1 month after each session.
It’s like having a dietitian on stand-by via text for all of your questions and concerns!
THE process
Our Follow-Ups
After our Initial Assessment, we’ll meet regularly for your 45-minute Follow-Up Sessions. These can be done at your pace - there’s no set timeline. Here’s how these sessions might look:
-
We’ll celebrate your wins and troubleshoot the challenges you had since our last session.
If applicable, we’ll review changes in your symptoms and any lab work or procedure results.
If you kept a food & symptom journal or a hunger & satiety journal since our last session, we’ll chat about this too (these are both optional!).
-
Together we’ll tweak the plan we made during your last session so that it better fits your life and is realistic for you to do.
If applicable, we’ll also switch up the interventions we put in place to manage symptoms, improve labs, etc.
-
Again, my goal is to make sure your goals make sense for you! This is a collaborative effort, not another health professional just telling you what to do (especially when you know your body best!).
-
If you had lab work done after our first session, we’ll review the results together. It’s really important to me as a dietitian that you fully understand what each lab means and what your specific results may indicate, so I will always take the time to go over these in detail with you.
I’ll also recommend any applicable follow-up labs or testing that may be helpful based on the results you share.
-
I’ll upload personalized and updated resources to your portal as needed after each session.
-
Unlimited virtual chat support on my HIPAA-compliant platform called Healthie for up to 1 month after each session. It’s like having a dietitian on stand-by via text for all of your questions and concerns!
Let me set you up with everything you need to find real results.
here's everything else YOU'LL GET AS A REAL GOOD NUTRITION client:

We’re a good fit if:
Your health & nutrition needs fall into one of the categories of expertise on Emmy’s bio.
You are ok with not focusing on weight during our work together. (Mixed feelings on this? It’s totally ok, I get it - send me an email to chat).
You want to develop the tools and behaviors to have a balanced relationship with food and feel good in your body (whatever that means for you).
You’re ready to invest the time and resources into improving your health and relationship with food for the long run.
We’re not a good fit if:
You want a dietitian to calculate your calories or macros and give you parameters to follow for weight loss or body composition change.
You want a day-to-day meal nutrition and exercise plan that you can follow to a T.
Your main goal is to lose weight, and you’re not open to instead discussing behaviors that are health-promoting but may or may not result in weight loss.
You want a quick fix or miracle juice for results (I don’t blame you, but I don’t have this!).
